“Some changes look negative on the surface but you will soon realize that space is being created in your life for something new to emerge.”
― Eckhart Tolle
This past year has been nothing if not full of changes. Indeed, one may even say this last year has been the most difficult of all. The global pandemic of COVID-19 has changed so much of our daily lives that "normal" is something we may not even be sure of anymore. Much has changed personally for me as well.
Some change is good. This past year, I changed from an undergraduate nurse to a fully-licensed RN. I moved across the country to work in an area I'd never lived in before. I've joined a healthcare team that I can say I'm proud to be a part of, a team that I learn from every day and that I grow from constantly.
Some change, however, is more difficult. I lost my dear collie companion of nearly 12 years only days after I received my nursing licensure. To say I was devastated would be an understatement. I found myself from the highest of highs thrown to the lowest of lows. I was destroyed. Exhausted and grieving, I managed through the kindness of my family. The time following is a blur of going through the motions and sudden cry sessions.
Months later, I've managed to find some peace in my loss. I'm at peace because I got to have her for nearly 12, wonderful, amazing years. Furthermore, I know she does not have to suffer any longer, and I know that I will somehow manage without her.
In the theme of this year, this site will also be undergoing some changes. I will be looking to update and revise the site. If you have not already, I encourage you to sign up for my newsletter which will be launching soon. This newsletter will keep you up to date on any changes as well as give you opportunities to receive exclusive content and offers.
In case you did not notice, there is a new page added to the site. Yes! I will be offering book merchandise in the near future. The merchandise will be based off of my current WIP which is The Fallen trilogy. You can find info on that under the "Books" page on the menu bar. Finally, if you have suggestions on what you would like to see, leave a comment down below!
Thank you so much to all of my readers and fans. You are all important to me, and I hope to give more to you going forward. Change is frightening. But change can also lead to better things. So come along on this journey with me, everyone! Also, share and heart this post to help support this blog.
Until next time, lovelies~
